For all

They sponsor charity events, but their most popular feature is Restaurant Week which is usually held during 2 weeks of January and 2
weeks of July. During Restaurant Week you can get
3-course meals during lunch and dinner from as little as $16/pp to $44/pp for
dinner at some of LA's best fine dining restaurants.
As there
is so much for people to discover here and dineLA’s
Restaurant Week is the perfect excuse to reach out of your comfort zones of pricing and enjoy the finest food
with least money spent.
During the Restaurant Week, foodies can experience premier culinary destination of Wolfgang Puck, Thomas Keller and Nobu Matsuhisa, as well as a new generation of culinary stars like Kogi BBQ Truck founder Roy Choi, Top Chef champion Michael Voltaggio, and Ricardo Zarate, named Food & Wine’s Best New Chef in America. Foodies have the opportunity to enjoy a selection of specially priced lunch and dinner menus from some of LA’s best restaurants.
This

million, the highest consumer spending generated in its history, during Jan
22-27 and Jan 29- Feb 3, and will be returning this summer again during July

Since
there are 250 participating restaurants, how do I know which one is worth
trying? dineLA website solves your problem!
In website of dineLA, they categorize the restaurants in Los Angeles into Downtown, Leimert Park, Little Ethiopia, Boyle Heights and Glendale. This way, you can conveniently search the restaurants based on the area you wish to be dining in. Within each region area, there are also different sections, such as activities, culture, events, hotels, and nightlife. So you can more carefully look for and pick the restaurant for type of mood you are in now.
The Website also provides information and keeps it very updated on the food event. For example, in late of this month, there will be wine festival hosted in Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach.
Once you
click in, you’ll see full page of information, including time, Google map,
venue address, region, admission fee, and phone number. You can also add it to
My LA and calendar after you sign up for one by creating a complete new account
or just simply connect it your existing Facebook account. Then they will remind
you of your upcoming schedule.
Most
importantly, when the Restaurant Week is approaching, the website provides you
the list of all participating restaurants.
The
website provides you the most all the details of what you’re interested
restaurant. You can compare lunch/dinner prices, menus and they also show you
what the rating is on yelp.
During
my 3 years of stay in Los Angeles, I’ve tried 7 restaurants during Restaurant
Week. So which restaurant I would recommend the most? It is undoubtedly
Fig&Olive!
Fig&Olive
is located on Melrose in West Hollywood. Its name is pretty self- explanatory, each dish is prepared with a special olive oil and
brings authentic Mediterranean food. Restaurant Weeks menu focuses on seasonal local
produce.
Appetize: Beef Carpaccio
For the
appetizer I had Beef Carpaccio. I would really recommend it even if you don’t
like the raw beef as the taste the beef was smothered
by the cheese.
Main Course: Truffle Risotto
For main
course, I ordered Truffle Risotto. It was amazing; Fig & Olive is very
generous, there is an abundance of truffle on the risotto that brings out the
taste of mushroom and cheese. It was really creamy as well.
Dessert: Chocolate Pot de Crème
Last but
not least, Dessert, what all girls love, I had Chocolate Pot de Crème. Chocolate
Pot de Crème is made with white, milk, and dark
chocolates. The
chocolate was really smooth and creamy, I felt like I was in heaven after
having a spoon of it. However, it is getting a little bit too sweet to finish
the entire cup of it.
If you
missed the winter session of Restaurant Week of the year, don’t hesitate to
start searching for the restaurants you’ve wanted to try but have always been intimated
by its pricing for the upcoming summer session! It will be the time of the year
for all hungry Angelenos to enjoy the feast.
